NEOM has signed a partnership with a local company to develop a concrete manufacturing complex dedicated to producing ready-mix green concrete, with an investment of up to SAR 700 million. This complex will be essential in supporting the construction of "The Line," the cognitive city currently being developed in NEOM.

The facility will house multiple specialized factories designed to meet the demands of "The Line." Once completed, the partner company will operate the complex, which will have a production capacity exceeding 20,000 cubic meters of ready-mix green concrete per day.

Concrete Manufacturing Complex Establishment

NEOM’s CEO, Eng. Nadhmi Al-Nasr, described the new complex as a key milestone in NEOM’s progress, stating, "The creation of this concrete manufacturing facility marks a significant achievement in our ongoing developments and highlights Saudi Arabia’s leadership in the construction sector. It also reflects the vital role that local partnerships play in delivering this unique and sustainable project efficiently."

He added, "We are proud of our partnership with local contractors and appreciate their contributions to advancing all of NEOM’s projects, which aligns with our goals to position NEOM as a center for attracting local leaders and entrepreneurs, in line with Saudi Vision 2030."

Advanced Sustainable Technologies

The complex will adopt cutting-edge sustainability technologies, including carbon capture and utilization (CCU) and energy-saving innovations. Most of the green concrete produced will be used for constructing "The Line," as concrete is a crucial material for building its infrastructure and essential facilities.

Creation of 500 Jobs

The new complex is scheduled to begin operations next month, supported by a fleet of equipment and vehicles. It is expected to reach full production capacity by 2025 and create over 500 new local jobs.

This launch coincides with the accelerated construction progress on "The Line," where foundational work is advancing swiftly. Around 1,000 of the more than 30,000 foundational bases have already been poured, marking significant progress in the project.
