Start of the Title Registration for Real Estate in Jeddah to document 65,217 real estate properties in Makkah Al-Mukarramah
The real estate sector in the Kingdom is witnessing a qualitative leap with the launch of the title registration for real estate in Jeddah. The General Real Estate Authority (GREA) has announced the start of registering more than 65,217 real estate properties within the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, a step aimed at enhancing market reliability and organizing real estate ownership. The title registration areas in Jeddah represent the beginning of a new phase of real estate development, achieving transparency, increasing the efficiency of real estate transactions, and providing owners and investors with greater confidence in managing their real estate assets.

The General Real Estate Authority (GREA) has announced the start of title registration operations for real estate in Jeddah, where (65,217) real estate properties will be registered across (19) neighborhoods in Jeddah Governorate within the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region. This will begin on August 24, 2025, until November 27, 2025 (corresponding to 6 Jumada Al-Thani 1447 AH to 7 Rabi Al-Awwal 1448 AH) for a continuous period of three months.
The Authority explained that the first phase of real estate registration in Jeddah includes a group of neighborhoods, most notably:
- Al-Rabie Neighborhood
- Al-Gharbiyah Neighborhood
- Al-Abeer Neighborhood
- Al-Buhayrat Neighborhood
- Al-Jazirah Neighborhood
- Al-Zuhur Neighborhood
- Al-Zumurrud Neighborhood
- Al-Ghadir Neighborhood
- Al-Khaleej Neighborhood
- Al-Durah Neighborhood
- Al-Showaidy Neighborhood
- Al-Baghdadiyah Al-Gharbiyah Neighborhood
- Al-Amariyah Neighborhood
- Al-Sahafah Neighborhood
In addition to parts of the Jeddah Islamic Port (Al-Balad/002001117, Al-Balad/002001026, Al-Balad/002001182, Al-Balad/002001027).
The Authority indicated that the selection of these neighborhoods was based on precise criteria, with subsequent announcements to follow regarding the remaining areas and governorates that will undergo registration operations in the coming periods.
The Authority also confirmed that registration will be available through the Electronic Real Estate Registry platform (https://rer.sa/) or through approved service centers. It noted that completing registration procedures requires a deed of ownership that fulfills all regulatory requirements, whether the property is residential or commercial real estate for sale.
The Authority called on property owners in the specified neighborhoods to review their ownership deeds and ensure they meet the necessary conditions before the start of registration. It emphasized that failure to comply with registration within the specified period may result in financial penaltiesas stipulated by the Title Registration System for Real Estate in Jeddah. Owners can inquire about the steps through the Authority’s official platforms or through the Customer Service Center at (199002).
The Authority pointed out that each registered property will be granted a "Property Number" and a title deed registration that includes accurate data about the property, its descriptions, rights, and obligations linked to geospatial information. The new system is expected to enhance transparency and raise the level of real estate reliability, supporting the sustainability of the real estate market in the Kingdom.
