CEO of the Real Estate Registry: We Utilized Technology to Accelerate Initial Title Registration Processes
Dr. Mohammed Al-Sulaiman, CEO of the Real Estate Registry, emphasized that the platform is the first and only national real estate registry of its kind in Saudi Arabia. Developed by the National Company for Initial Title Registration Services in collaboration with the General Real Estate Authority, the platform utilizes the latest global technologies in cadastral registration. Its mission is to create a comprehensive and integrated real estate registry that covers all types of properties across the Kingdom.
The initial step in this process involves advanced aerial surveying using both manned and unmanned aircraft. The data collected is then processed with artificial intelligence to produce an accurate and detailed property map, the first of its kind in the Kingdom. This map enables the precise linking of properties to their geographic locations, laying the foundation for a fully integrated property registration system.
Dr. Al-Sulaiman further explained that the digital platform has been designed to provide property owners with a seamless experience in managing their real estate assets. The platform integrates all property-related services and information in a user-friendly way, allowing property owners to manage their assets with ease. From initial title registration and issuance of ownership deeds to handling all subsequent real estate transactions, the platform simplifies the entire process.
In line with the Real Estate Registry’s "Easier" strategy, Dr. Al-Sulaiman noted that multiple channels have been made available for users to access the platform. The most recent addition is a mobile application, which allows property owners to complete the initial title registration and access services directly from their smartphones, without the need to visit the website.
Dr. Al-Sulaiman also highlighted that the app offers additional services for investors and prospective property
buyers in the Kingdom. These include verifying title deeds issued by the Real Estate Registry and checking their status, allowing potential buyers to make informed decisions based on accurate data. This aligns with the registry’s vision of enhancing transparency and trust in the real estate sector.
On the topic of accelerating the initial title registration process, Dr. Al-Sulaiman explained that the advanced technologies and AI-powered data processing utilized by the Real Estate Registry have significantly sped up registration times. This has increased the readiness of several cities and regions for initial title registration, in line with the Kingdom’s vision to modernize and digitize the real estate sector. By improving transparency and reliability, the registry is fostering greater trust and security in real estate transactions.
The Real Estate Registry marks a transformative shift in the real estate sector, serving as a central, authoritative source for all property-related data and information in Saudi Arabia. With its absolute legal authority and data accuracy, the registry provides enhanced security and sustainability for the sector. It enables property owners, investors, and developers to access key information, including property analytics and market insights, and facilitates seamless real estate transactions through the platform.
This comprehensive, fully digitized system is designed to boost transparency, trust, and efficiency in Saudi Arabia’s real estate market, ensuring a more secure and reliable environment for all stakeholders.
