.Transferring Services from Notarial Offices to the Real Estate Registry
According to sources cited by Okaz newspaper, informed insiders have revealed that certain services will be transferred from Notarial Offices to the Real Estate Registry in select regions of the Kingdom as part of an initial phase. The sources also disclosed that specific fees have been set for some of the services to be transferred, while others will remain free of charge.
Among the services that will be subject to fees are property transfer, which allows beneficiaries to transfer ownership of a registered property to another owner within five working days for a fee of SAR 1,600; and property subdivision, which enables the division of a registered property into two or more properties with separate ownership deeds issued for each within seven working days, with a fee of SAR 550 per new deed. Additionally, the property merger service will allow the consolidation of multiple registered properties into one within seven working days, for a fee of SAR 550 per merged deed. The rights and restrictions management service will also allow beneficiaries to add or remove rights, restrictions, or obligations on a registered property within seven working days, with fees ranging between SAR 300 and SAR 550.
Meanwhile, several services will be provided free of charge, including initial property registration, services related to declared real estate zones, deed verification, property search, appointment booking, and correction requests.
