Saudi Real Estate Authority Executes 9 Joint Compliance Inspections in September to Ensure Market Adherence

In September, the Saudi Real Estate Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, conducted nine joint inspections, visiting 153 real estate establishments across the Riyadh, Eastern, and Makkah regions. The objective was to ensure compliance with real estate regulations, particularly the Real Estate Brokerage Law, and to address the responsibilities of participating government entities concerning localization and business licensing.

The Authority highlighted that fieldwork is a vital approach to regulating the real estate market. During this period, inspection teams carried out 14,430 field operations, identifying 14,538 non-compliant real estate advertisements in public areas. Additionally, the Authority processed 511 reports of real estate violations received through various channels. More than 14,609 electronic surveys were conducted as part of its digital monitoring strategy, targeting online platforms and channels to verify the compliance of advertisements and practices in digital real estate brokerage.

The Saudi Real Estate Authority urged all brokers and real estate service providers to adhere to the real estate regulations and review any violations to avoid penalties, which may include warnings, suspension or revocation of licenses, and financial fines. The executive regulations specify the classifications of violations and corresponding penalties. The Authority also encouraged citizens and residents to report any suspected real estate violations or fraud via its official platform or by calling the hotline (199011) for real estate inquiries.
