The Real Estate General Authority has announced that the deadline for the initial physical registration of properties in 11 neighborhoods of Riyadh is approaching, specifically by the end of this coming Thursday.

The Authority has urged property owners located within the following neighborhoods: Al Muzazhim Al Shamali, Al Murabba, Al Malaz, Al Ulaya, An-Nazm, Al Zahra, An-Nasiriyah, Al Mu’tamarat, Al-Dabat, Taybah, and Dahyat Namar, to promptly register their properties through the electronic real estate registry platform, rer.sa, before the registration deadline. This will allow them to benefit from property transaction services and the documentation of any changes to the property.

The Authority clarified that the physical registration of real estate enables the issuance of a "property number" and a title deed for each registered property unit. The new title deed includes the property's precise geographic location, owner information, description, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all subsequent property transactions. This serves as a foundation for documenting ownership and related real estate rights, contributing to the sustainability and growth of the real estate sector and its key enablers.

The Authority emphasized that failure to register properties within the specified timeframe in the announcement will subject owners to financial penalties as stipulated in the Real Estate Registration System, which will be determined by a committee responsible for reviewing violations. However, it was noted that applications for real estate registration will continue to be accepted in all announced areas even after the specified registration deadline.

It is worth mentioning that the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services, "Real Estate Registry," is responsible for implementing the establishment and management of the real estate registry in the Kingdom using modern technologies and geospatial data through a comprehensive digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and trust in real estate services and data.
