Saudi Arabia’s Ambitious Plan to Transform Dammam into an Industrial Hub
"His Excellency, the Minister of Municipalities and Rural Affairs, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil, has approved an investment project to develop the infrastructure and services of the industrial plot and establish an industrial city in Dammam, spanning an area of 1.5 million square meters.
His Excellency, the Governor of the Eastern Region, Engineer Fahd Al-Jubair, explained that the project reflects the directives of His Highness the Emir of the Eastern Region and His Highness the Deputy Emir. It aims to enhance industrial development through partnership with the private sector. Al-Jubair indicated that the project focuses on improving infrastructure, addressing visual pollution, and enhancing the quality of life, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
He highlighted that the municipality has launched more than 436 investment opportunities, with a plan to increase them to 5000 by 2026, benefiting from a database that includes investment assets exceeding 116 million square meters. Al-Jubair also invited investors and entrepreneurs to take advantage of the incentive benefits, which include contracts of up to 50 years and exemptions of up to 10% of the contract duration, along with reducing bank guarantees to 25%."
