The General Authority for Real Estate has announced that the deadline for the initial real estate registration in 316 neighborhoods in the Qassim region is approaching. These neighborhoods include 130 in Buraidah, 55 in Unaizah, 23 in Buraydah, 28 in Al-Badai, 48 in Ar Rass, 16 in Al-Khabara and Al-Sahabin, and 16 in Riyadh Al-Khabara.

The authority clarified that real estate registration enables the issuance of a "property number" and a property ownership certificate for each registered property unit. The new property ownership certificate includes the precise geographic location of the property, owner information, descriptions, condition, associated rights and obligations, and all subsequent real estate transactions. This serves as a foundation for documenting ownership and related real estate rights, contributing to the sustainability and growth of the real estate sector and its key capabilities.

The authority emphasized that failure to register properties within the specified timeframe stipulated in the announcement will subject owners to financial penalties as outlined in the Real Estate Registration System, which will be determined by a committee specialized in reviewing violations. However, real estate registration requests will continue to be accepted in all announced areas even after the deadline specified in the announcement.

The authority urged property owners in these neighborhoods to expedite the registration of their properties through the real estate registry platform (rer.sa) before the deadline to benefit from real estate transaction execution services and documentation of all property changes.

It is worth noting that the National Company for Real Estate Registration Services (Real Estate Registry) is responsible for implementing the establishment and management of the real estate registry in the Kingdom using modern technologies and geospatial data through a comprehensive digital platform that contributes to enhancing transparency and confidence in real estate services and data.
